Image Preprocessing

Image preprocessing

notebooks/preprocessing/preprocessing_basics.ipynb

A step-by-step tour of spice.preprocess.<method>(): histogram equalisation (evening out brightness), standardisation, resizing, downsampling, normalisation, Gaussian filtering (blurring), edge detection, morphological operations (shrinking/growing shapes), turning an image into pure black-and-white (binarisation), and labelling connected regions. Each call changes spice.data in place and is recorded automatically in spice.history, using the exact values you called it with. The notebook ends by calling to_lines() to show the whole pipeline as plain, runnable code, rebuilt from that history.
