From the repository root (the folder containing pyproject.toml), after the standard JuSPICE installation has created venvs\.venv:

uv sync --python 3.12 --only-group iopaint --no-install-project

This creates venvs\.venv_iopaint (if it doesn’t exist yet) and installs only IOPaint and its own dependencies into it — not JuSPICE’s base packages, not the [dl] extra, and not JuSPICE itself (--no-install-project). Nothing else is added.

Check it worked:

venvs\.venv_iopaint\Scripts\iopaint.exe --version
